Dinos Alive! at Lowry Park Zoo: Open through August                                                                                            Travel through the Jurassic and Cretaceous Eras at Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. Check out life-size dinosaurs that move, roar and interact at this attraction open through August. Blue Star Museums Collaboration: Through Sept. 4, various times                                                                    Active duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families can take part in a free admission promotion Memorial Day through Labor Day at more than 2,000 U.S. museums including MOSI, Tampa Bay History Center, Henry B. Cardboard Space Adventures: Through Sept. 5, various times                                                                               Get ready to explore the galaxy or jump into the cardboard spaceship at Tampa’s MOSI. Guests can help create a huge outpost in outer space using hands-on creativity, engineering and art, constructing all entirely from cardboard.  Everyone  


MathAlive! at Glazer Children’s Museum: May 27 – July 9, various times                                                        Check out this newest exhibit at Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa. This 5,000-square-foot traveling exhibit gives visitors a chance to experience real math at work in sports, nature, robotics, music, dancing, movie making and more, with special extended hours. Active military families also get free admission during the exhibit’s run.  10-Teen 

Friday at the Fountain in Hyde Park Village: June 2, 6 pm-8 pm
Celebrate National Donate Day with your friends and neighbors at Hyde Park Village and enjoy love music by Matt Winter, outdoor games and free mini donuts from Better Byrd plus a donut decorating station. Everyone


Car Seat Inspection – South TampaJune 2 and 16, various times                                                                      Learn from a certified CPS technician how to properly install and use your car seat as part of this event offered through St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and hosted by Rinaldo Law Group. Registration is for one car seat per car. This is not an installation service, so participants should bring their vehicle owner’s manual and car seat instructions. Yoga in the Ybor City Museum GardenJune 3, 10, 17 and 24, 9:30 am                                                               Treat yourself to a special morning of yoga in the peaceful setting of the Ybor City Museum Garden as part of this special monthly event hosted by Yoga Loft. Then, stick around for the Ybor City Saturday Market nearby and browse gourmet foods, sauces, fresh baked breads, herbs, plants, artwork, jewelry and more. Touch-A-Truck at the Zephyrhills Library: June 3, 9 a.m. to noon                                                                           Kick off the summer with cool vehicles at this fun event at Zephyrhills Library. Kids will get to touch and climb on a variety of vehicles they are used to seeing from far away, then get to act as judges and vote for their favorites. Hyde Park Village Fresh MarketJune 4, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.                                                                                          Shop locally produced foods and handcrafted items at this monthly South Tampa outdoor market. Browse nearby stores while listening to live music and try one of the many neighborhood restaurants for lunch. Admission and parking are free. Leashed dogs are welcome.   Everyone


PJ Library Splash/Pool Day! Family EventJune 4, 1 p.m. 4 p.m.                                                                            Pack up the towels, floaties and kids for a day at the pool at Bryan Glazer Family JCC in South Tampa. Children’s Board Free Tuesday at Glazer: June 6, noon – 7 p.m.                                                                              Join the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and other partners such as WEDU PBS for a free admission day at Glazer Children’s Museum the first Tuesday monthly. Adults must be accompanied by a child and vice versa.  Everyone


World Oceans Day at The Florida Aquarium: June 8-11, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
Celebrate the ocean and everything it touches during World Oceans Day weekend at The Florida Aquarium in Tampa. Explore different habitats and learn why they’re important to the ocean and to everyone through special activities and programs. Cobb Theatres Free Summer Kids Shows: June 13-15, 20-22 and 27-29, 10 a.m. 
Visit participating Cobb Theatre Bay area locations offering two free movies weekly throughout the summer. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with free film screenings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. This month, families can check out “The Angry Birds Movie,” “Matilda,” “Open Season 3,” “Surf’s Up,” “Storks” and “The Lego Movie.”  4-12 


Sunset Celebration at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo: June 16-17, 23-24 and 30 
Experience sunsets in a unique way as part of these special evenings at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo for Friday and Saturday Nights this summer. See wildlife in a whole new light, enjoy entertaining activities for the whole family and indulge in tasty, one-of-a-kind dishes created by the Zoo’s rock star chef.  Everyone 


Busch Gardens Summer Nights: June 16 – Aug. 6, various times 
Stay late at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and experience live entertainment and thrill rides in the dark, including Cobra’s Curse. Cool off on the park’s popular coasters or Falcon’s Fury, North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower.  Everyone

Community Expo at Jimmy B. Keel Library in Tampa: June 17, 2-4 p.m. 
Hear from representatives of local organizations about their programs, services and community resources at Jimmy B. Keel Regional Library in Tampa. Learn how students can volunteer their time and earn service hours for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. Organizations participating include Big Cat Rescue, Community Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough, Kids and Canines and more. A Big Red Bus from OneBlood will be available for on-site blood donations. Free admission.  Everyone


THE ART OF THE BRICKJune 23-September 4                                                                                                              The Vinik Family Foundation invites Tampa Bay to experience THE ART OF THE BRICK, an exciting exhibition, featuring captivating artworks made exclusively from one of the world’s most recognizable toys, the LEGO® brick, by award winning artist Nathan Sawaya. THE ART OF THE BRICK debuts on Friday, June 23, at 802 East Whiting Street (formerly District 3) in downtown Tampa. Free and open to the public. The exhibit will be open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Beer Fest at Tampa Theatre: June 24, 7 pm- 11pm                                                                                                     Kick summer into high gear with Tampa Theatre’s annual celebration featuring craft beers and local brewers. This year’s theme is Barley’s Angels, and guests are encouraged to don their best girl-power, action movie-inspired costumes a la Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. Tea for Tots at Oxford ExchangeJune 25, 2:00pm                                                                                                    Enjoy a selection of hot and cold teas as well as tea cakes and sandwiches are provided with the admission ticket which is $15 for an adult ticket and $8 for a child.  The event is best for children ages 2-6, however, it’s an easy family activity for all ages. June’s reading will be ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ by Jerry Pickney.

A Day of Fun at the Library at Jan Kaminis Platt Library: June 27, events run from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.        Sing along to your favorite books with Christine VanHorn and her guitar! Perfect for kids ages 2-5. Performances are at 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Silly Sam will then sing songs from around the world from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Dine and Discuss – Sleep: Bedtime Problem SolvingJune 8, 5:30-7 p.m.                                                             Take part in a lively, interactive dinner and discussion with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Autism Center staff at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Care Center in St. Pete. Captain Underpants Sensory ScreeningJune 10, 11 a.m.                                                                                       Bring the kids for a sensory-friendly screening of this new release hosted by Studio Movie Grill at University Mall in Tampa. Screenings are shown with the lights up and the volume lowered in a setting where children are free to move around, talk or even dance in the aisles during the movie.  Everyone

Great ConnectionsJune 11, 10 a.m. to noon                                                                                                               Join Great Explorations for this sensory-friendly event and celebrate fathers and other great men in your life at the St. Pete museum, which opens early for children with special needs and their families to enjoy sensory-friendly activities and crafts. For June, visitors will be able to make handmade gifts for the special dads in their life. Activities are included with admission.  6 & Older
