The holiday season is quickly approaching, and who doesn’t love getting into the spirit with a fun craft project to make with the kids? When my daughter was a toddler, we made cotton ball ghosts for Halloween, hand print turkeys for Thanksgiving and a gingerbread house at Christmas time. Now that my son is 4, I look back and feel a twinge of guilt for not crafting as much (ok, not at all) with him.
Life gets busy, and even with the best of intentions I never make it to Michaels for art supplies and craft kits. And that is why I am beyond thrilled for Betsy Wild’s new business, We Craft Box, to send out its first shipment in October! We Craft Box delivers boxes to your home filled with craft project materials for families and friends to use with children ages 3-9. The crafts will come with directions and you’re welcome to follow them or get creative. You can subscribe on a month-to-month basis or purchase a 3-month supply at an affordable cost. All plans come with free shipping for the United States.
Wild has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Art Center College of Design and has worked as a graphic designer and creative director for a fashion apparel company for the last 10 years. Art is a passion of hers, and she believes that art is an important part of childhood. She launched her company with the goal to encourage parents, grandparents and caregivers to spend quality time doing a hands-on activity with a child. She also knows how essential it is to spend quality time with your kids. As a mother of two living in Sarasota, Betsy uses her creative powers to produce these boxes filled with quality materials and varies projects to coincide with a season or theme. “We Craft Box was created to solve a problem for myself, enabling me to connect with my children and create in the easiest way. And after talking to other parents, I realized that there was a need for this box, a need to cut out the legwork and have fun and creative moments at our fingertips!”
We Craft Box makes the perfect gift too! You can find Wild with her We Craft Box at The Junior League’s Holiday Gift Market at The Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall Nov. 9-12. She’ll sell craft boxes and have a craft station for the kids. I can’t wait for the convenience of seasonally themed craft box to arrive at my doorstep, and I know my kids will be excited too!
