By now, you’ve probably heard that the musical Annie has been remade into a family friendly movie just in the for the holidays. Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine’s Social Moms Rachel, Kathryn, and Lisa-Marie brought a few of their children, ranging from elementary to high school age, to a preview of Annie. Everyone gave the movie a big thumbs up! The kid’s top three reasons for recommending the movie are:
- The music! The kids sang “Tomorrow” and “It’s a Hard Knock Life” as they danced out of the theater. The modern twists on these classic songs will appeal to everyone.
- The action! The characters are always in motion. Whether chasing Sandy the dog or dancing at the movie premiere, the kids take center stage and look fabulous every step of the way.
- The helicopter! Mr. Stacks shows Annie her town from a whole new perspective and it’s awesome!
As a parent, it was refreshing to see so many “feel good” scenes. Annie is kind, honest, and keeps striving to fulfill her dreams despite many challenges. Go see Annie and give us your feedback.
