Laura Byrne - Creative Director and Editorial Manager

Laura Byrne is an award-winning former television news journalist who spent 15+ years in newsrooms across the state of Florida including Sarasota, Tallahassee, Fort Myers and right here in Tampa Bay where she still freelances on occasion. She covered the political beat, crime beat and every day breaking news during her time in Florida newsrooms, but is now focused on sharing positive news stories and events with families in Tampa Bay. She is a proud mommy of two little boys who keep her on her toes and laughing every day. Her goal is to inspire families just like yours to get out and play and experience all that Tampa Bay and our great state of Florida have to offer! She encourages you to share your stories and upcoming events so we can spread the good news.

Anu Varma Panchal – Associate Editor + Writer

Associate Editor Anu Varma Panchal has a master’s degrees in journalism and more than 15 years of experience writing and editing for newspapers and magazines in Illinois, Iowa and Florida. She has lived in Florida for more than 10 years, and enjoys raising her two daughters in Tampa Bay.

When Anu isn’t writing or editing for area publications, she’s busy driving her kids to all their music and dance activities. She volunteers regularly in her daughters’ schools and Parent Teacher Associations, and spent a wonderful two years immersed in local history as a volunteer in the Tampa Bay History Museum’s Collections department. Although her idea of the ultimate good time is usually found between the pages of a book, Anu also enjoys yoga, her book club, travel, theater and area food and music festivals.

Nicole Barolo - Layout + Design

Nicole Barolo is the mompreneuer behind the boutique graphic design shop, Page Four Creative. A Tampa native, you can usually find her spending time outside with her husband and spirited five and seven-year-old boys When she’s not creating art, she loves learning new things, listening to indie rock, and wine and cheese parties. Nicole is excited to be a part of the creative team at Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine.

Sarah Rigby - Logistics Manager & Editorial Assistant

Sarah has a degree in Vocal Performance Musical Theatre, as well as minors in Business and Entrepreneurship from Kansas State University. She is also currently finishing her Associates Degree in Graphic Design. Originating from California, Iowa, and Kansas, she is happy to now call Tampa home. When not keeping Tampa Bay Parenting organized behind the scenes, you may see her portraying many of your favorite princesses with Parties with Character or out and about performing in Tampa Bay.

Originally from Miami, Ralf now lives in Wesley Chapel. He is a proud father to two sweet girls. Ralf joined the staff of Tampa Bay Parenting in 2014 and is excited to bring his knowledge of sales relationships to the Tampa Bay Community.

Kimberlee is the managing member of Employee of the Month LLC., and although her company provides virtual services for legal & other professional offices around the Bay Area, she provides bookkeeping services in-house with Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine.

Tara Payor, Ph.D. - Editorial Contributor

Tara Payor, Ph.D. has a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a contributing faculty member for Walden University, where she guides doctoral students through their dissertations. She is also a language arts educator. Reach her at tpayor@gmail.com.

Anna Tataris de Jesus – Family Fun/Travel Contributor

Anna Tataris de Jesus is an Emmy–nominated television journalist with a passion for traveling with her family. After 15 years on camera, Anna gave up hard news for travel reporting. In 2012, she and her husband Roy, also an Emmy–nominated television journalist, created “The Great Escape Plan” to travel Europe with their daughter Sophia and son Nikolas. Together they create videos for social media and their website TheGreatEscapePlan.com in hopes to inspire other families to travel Family Style.

Maggie Rodriguez - Editorial Contributor

Maggie Rodriguez is a former network news anchor who now lives in South Tampa with her husband and their two children. She is best known as the host of the nationally-televised morning news program, The Early Show on CBS, as well as a substitute anchor on The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. Since relocating to Tampa Bay, Rodriguez has been busy rekindling her love for writing, volunteering and enjoying weekend adventures.

Julie Tingley - Editorial Contributor

Julie Tingley is an 8-year Tampa transplant who has found her way through numerous professional and parenting transitions by maintaining focus on her daily inspirations: Ella, 6, and Kate, 3. With a vision of a better future for her girls, she has introduced the KNOW Book + Tribe, a women’s publication and community, to Tampa Bay.
