American Stage Education: Summer Camp 2017!

Extracurricular activities are an integral part of a child’s school life. From being on the lacrosse team to running for school council, every parent can agree that fun activities are just as important as academics. But one extracurricular that is often over-looked, and underfunded, is theatre.

Theatre is a form a storytelling that transcends words on a page. It brings those words to life and can prove to be an essential part of your child’s comprehensive abilities. American Stage can provide your child the ability to fall in love with the arts and apply everything they have learned in their day-to-day lives! This not-for-profit charitable organization was established in 1978 and has been inspiring theatre-lovers ever since.

American Stage offers classes year-round for grades k-12. During the school year, classes are held at the American Stage headquarters and summer classes are held at the offsite summer campus. Kids can choose from a variety of different classes: an introduction to theatre, theatre as a storytelling art form, building and honing their acting technique, and more!

“This was the first camp I have ever heard her say that she was sad it was over. She actually hugged the leaders and told me she wants to go back next year! It is such a good feeling as a mom to know you can check the “success” box when you finally find something that fits your child and he/she likes it!” –Summer Camp Parent
