Apple Pecan Cereal
Boxed cereal often contains a lot of sugar, and when kept too long it can get stale. Here is a recipe for a fresh and nutritious take on the classic bowl of cereal. It’s so simple it works as a quick breakfast option, or as an afternoon snack. Fresh apples add a lovely crunch and the cinnamon gives it a nice homey flavor. Chia seeds provide an added boost of fiber.
Recipe:
1 cup halved pecans
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of chia seeds
Directions:
Chop apple into small cubes. Combine apple pieces, with halved pecans and cinnamon. If you choose add in some Chia seeds for an added boost of fiber. Serve in a bowl and pour milk over the cereal to your liking. Enjoy!
