Ice-cream, ice-cream! We all scream for ice-cream…especially in Tampa Bay when the temperatures soar! If you’ve been looking for a sweet frozen treat to enjoy with the kids, Karimah Henry of @craftingafunlife is here to the rescue! Our family has been coming here since they opened. You’re always greeted with a smile as soon as you walk through those doors. They have a great selection of flavors including vegan options as well as fun toppings. I love their cake batter with sprinkles, brownies, strawberries and whipped cream. The price is based on the weight so you can go crazy or keep it simple. Make sure to sign up for their smileage club to earn points for free fro-yo.
If you’re looking for unique handcrafted flavors with vegan options, this is your spot. Their ice cream never disappoints! My favorite is definitely the banana pudding but my husband loves their blueberry muffin tops. I really love the eclectic decor of the shop and the art displayed from local artists. Make sure to stop by for their BOGO deals from Monday through Thursday. If you’re planning a YES Day for your kids, they have an ice cream challenge.
You can’t miss this ice cream shaped shop! We love stopping by to get delicious soft-serve ice cream and slushies. My oldest loves adding gummies and sprinkles to his vanilla ice cream. I love that they have a drive-thru for those rainy days or when one of the kids is sleeping. Make sure to sign up for their loyalty program to get nice rewards.

They offer a nice selection of frozen treats including gelato, shakes and sundaes. You can definitely satisfy your sweet tooth when you visit this shop. I love their strawberry sundae! It’s filled with 3 scoops of gelato, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, Stroopwafel and Pirouline rolled wafers.
If you love shaved ice, this will become your favorite place to visit. They have a large selection of flavors and toppings to satisfy everyone’s needs. You can also add ice cream to your shaved ice which is a nice treat. My 6-year old loved the sour patch kids with sour patch sauce and sour sand. Yes, my son loves all things sour. He was a very happy kid when he saw the flavor on the menu. I loved the Unicorn which includes rainbow shaved ice with whipped cream & party sprinkles. Remember tether ball? They have one outside for families to enjoy a quick game.
This place offers delicious all-natural gourmet popsicles that’s perfect for hot days in Florida. They create seasonal flavors that will keep you coming back for more. You can get the kids something simple like strawberry while you enjoy a boozy ice pop.
Try one of a kind flavors at this popular ice cream shop. You can walk around Sparkman Wharf or relax on the lawn while enjoying this frozen treat. I enjoyed the honey vanilla bean as well as the strawberry buttermilk. My 6-year old loved their strawberry buttermilk with sprinkles. However, my husband said the gooey butter cake, Texas sheet cake and sweet cream biscuits with peach jam was amazing!
My family loves stopping by Jeremiah’s for a frozen treat. There’s so many flavors of Italian ice that you can layer with vanilla or chocolate custard. You can get really creative with your combinations.
Known for their over the top freak shakes, the newest location at Armature Works serves up insane ice cream treats. We love the soft-serve ice cream that is served in a Taiyaki cone and topped with sprinkles. However, you can go big with The Works that is piled high and topped with seasonal treats. It’s definitely Instagram worthy!

Cool off with these delicious handcrafted popsicles. You can find their cart at different events around Tampa or visit their store front. We really love the strawberry mango ice pops. You can tell it’s made with fresh fruits.

Enjoy handcrafted ice cream in a cozy environment with your family. They have classic flavors as well as some with creative combinations. Make sure to try their strawberry shortcake or the rum haven. I love that they have board games available for customers. Get out of the house and have game night while enjoying a frozen treat.

Cool spot with classic flavors and the option to make your own custom treat. Highly recommend the Tampa guava cream cheese or vanilla with cookie dough topping.

Feels like you’re transported to a magical place as soon as you walk into this shop. I love their decor and all the artwork that is displayed. They have a large selection of ice cream with fun names. I love the Spongebob flavor, a yellow vanilla ice cream loaded with chocolate chip cookie dough bites and rainbow sprinkles. My 6-year old loves the Mermaid which is a cotton candy flavor. Go all out and have your ice cream served in one of their fancy cones dipped in sprinkles.
We always stop by Rita’s after a trip to Indian Rocks Beach. You can always find something on the menu that will make everyone happy. My boys usually order regular Italian ice while I order the gelati (Italian ice and custard) along with my husband. It’s a great frozen treat to help cool off after a long day outside.
