Independence Day is fast approaching, and that means it’s time to figure out how to celebrate. This year, there are a number of cool Fourth of July events in Tampa for you to choose from.
‘Boom by the Bay’ returns this year to Tampa and the inaugural ‘The Fourth’ will be celebrated in St. Pete with a three day celebration!
But, there’s more! To help you find a Fourth of July event near you, here’s a list of the best events with all the information you need to plan your Independence Day celebration:
Tampa is going BIG for this year’s Fourth of July celebration with SIX fireworks displays along the downtown Tampa riverfront with family-friendly activities and events at each location. There will also be a new Friends of the Riverwalk July 4th Boat Parade and Blessing of the Fleet from 5-7pm along the Tampa Riverwalk! tampagov.net

The Friends of the Riverwalk will celebrate July 4th with an inaugural July 4th Boat Parade and Blessing of the Fleet. The parade route will be similar to the holiday light boat parade, plus three blessing stations. (The Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition that began years ago but is still practiced in many fishing and boating communities around the world to ensure a safe and bountiful season.) The parade begins in the Convention Center basin, travels to the Heights, and ends at Sparkman Wharf. Public viewing locations include:

The Tampa Yacht Starship cruises are a perfect choice for your Independence Day celebration. Your ticket will include the cruise, buffet meal, open bar, DJ entertainment, and a fireworks show to end the night! You can also expect a great view of the fireworks shows in downtown Tampa. The Fourth is an Inaugural Independence Day celebration you won’t want to miss! Events will be hosted on multiple days starting on Friday, July 2nd from 5pm-10pm with events and activities for the whole family. On Saturday, July 3rd, the celebration continues from 12 pm-10 pm with a finale on July 4 from 6am to 9pm, capping off the three day event with a fireworks show that will be able to be seen from the downtown waterfront, Bayshore Drive, Straub Parks, Vinoy Park and more. Busch Gardens never fails to deliver great holiday celebrations and the Fourth of July is no different! Enjoy roller coasters, rides, shows and more at your favorite local amusement park and stay through the evening to ride the rides at night and for the extended fireworks show at night. The picnic is back! Celebrate the Fourth with a classic picnic that includes a water slide, paddle boarding, inflatables, lawn games, and more. In the morning wear your red, white and blue to Main Street in Safety Harbor for a patriotic Independence Day parade. At night, head over to the Safety Harbor marina for live entertainment, children’s activities, food vendors and more. Celebrate Independence Day with the largest fireworks show the stadium has seen! This year’s event is ticketed, so you’ll need to buy your $5 ticket in advance. There will be live music by the Black Honkeys, family-friendly fun and of course, the fireworks in Coachman Park. myclearwaterevents.com
Celebrate the country’s birthday with food, entertainment and activities for all-ages! There will also be fireworks, so bring your blankets and chairs. After going on hiatus in 2020 like almost every other event, Summerfest is coming back strong with a day filled with FREE family-friendly fun!
