City of Tampa and Rays Baseball Team up to Offer FREE Swim Lessons

The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation and Rays Baseball are teaming up to offer FREE swim lessons this summer. The two week courses are being offered for kids ages 6 months to 17 years old at twelve Tampa Parks and Recreation pools from June 3rd through August 31st, 2019.

To participate, parents must complete an application at their local pool and provide: a free or reduced lunch form for each child from the Hillsborough County School Board, a letter of verification for any state or federal assistance for each child that includes the dates of eligibility, or state documentation for foster children.

The City of Tampa also offers swim lessons for a small fee based on ages. Programs available are: Parent and Child Aquatics (ages 6 months through 3 years old), Preschool Aquatics (3-5 years old), Learn to Swim (6 years old and up), and Adult Swim Lessons. Learn more here.
