The City of Tampa is moving forward with its next phase of reopening its parks. Playgrounds, splash pads and picnic areas will remain closed, however you and the kids will be able to enjoy the great outdoors at some local favorites like Julian B Lane Waterfront Park!
We know it’s hard to tell the kids they can’t play on the playground, but just being able to run in the open fields of parks like Julian B Lane Waterfront Park and Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will be a welcome adventure!
Keep in mind, you’ll still need to practice social distancing and not gather in a group of more than 10 people.
Here’s what’s opening on Saturday, May 16, 2020:
Reminder: Picnic shelters, playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and splash pads will remain closed.
City of Tampa’s year-round pools are also reopening on May 16, but limited to lap swimming by appointment only–social distancing required here, too!
Call the pool you’d like to use to reserve your lap swim time. Appointments can be made for the current day only and will be limited to a maximum 1 hour session. For more information visit http://bit.ly/TpaPools.
