Our favorite things to do this weekend in Tampa Bay | Nov 3 & 4

Things to do on Friday night in Tampa Bay:

The Florida Orchestra Disney Concert- Tale as Old as Time  | Nov. 2, 8:00 p.m.  Head over to the Straz Center inside Carol Morsani Hall for a magical evening for all ages! This performance will enchant the young and old alike with a storytelling experience through music and Broadway level singers as well as high definition film clips and key moments from Disney’s Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, The Lion King, and more. strazcenter.org

9-5 The Musical | Nov. 1-11, times vary  At the Jaeb Theater on select nights in November, come enjoy “9-5 The Musical” presented by “mad Theatre” with music and lyrics by none other than Dolly Parton. This show is based off of the 1980 smash hit film set in the 1970s. Follow along a classic tale of adventure, friendship, revenge, and a touch of romance for an awesome evening. strazcenter.org 

Things to do on Saturday in Tampa Bay:

Wanderlust 108 at Julian B Lane Park | Nov. 3, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Come out to Julian B. Lane Park for a day full of wellness, and meditation. Start your morning off with coffee and head to the 5k starting line, before the race there will be a pre-run stretch at the main stage. Once completing the first part of the triathlon (5k) part 2 will take place with a yoga session followed by part 3; meditation. Once the triathlon is finished, it’s up to you! Other activities are offered as well as pre-purchased picnic lunches. To finish the day, a final lap around Kula Market will occur. wanderlust.com 

High Risk Hope Tot Trot | Nov. 3, check-in at 8:30 a.m., trot begins 9:30 a.m. This annual family friendly 3k is the perfect opportunity to raise funds to benefit High Risk Hope. The whole month of November is prematurity awareness month internationally! Come out to spread awareness and win the #fightforpreemies. The course is a non-competitive 3K (1.86 Miles) where those participating may walk, run, trike, or stroll! All are welcome to attend and participate. tottrot.org

Market in the Park | Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Head over to Westfield Citrus Park Mall for farm fresh produce, chic, vintage, and different home décor, creative spices, and homemade crafters! (Located near Macy’s). marketatthepark.com 

Grady Goat Yoga | Nov. 3, 10 a.m. Take a trip to Thonotosassa for goat yoga at Hat Trick Ranch! Bring your yoga mat and be prepared to encounter the sweetest, cutest baby goats, donkeys, cows, and Maya the Pig! No yoga experience is required or necessary. This event is ticketed and should last an hour, however feel free to arrive 30 minutes early or stay 30 minutes later to snuggle and photograph the animals. Children under age 8 are not permitted and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the safety of the animals! Brandon Seafood Festival  | Nov. 3, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Don’t miss the best thing to do in Brandon for the past 25 years. Located at the Rotary Camp, the festival will host the whole family for a day of fun and food. Bouncy houses, games, music, and a pie eating contest will also be present during the entirety of the festival. Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the gate unless under 12, which is free with a paid adult and a canned good to donate to charity. brandonseafoodfestival.com 

Touch-A-Truck at Starkey Ranch | Nov. 3, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Head over to Odessa at Starkey Ranch for a family friendly day perfect for all ages. Numerous vehicles will be on site including police, military, fire, construction, buses, and more. There will be a Kids Zone as well full of inflatables, games, face painting, and more to keep the kids busy in between honking horns and blaring sirens. starkeyranch.com

DillyDally with Dali | Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Bring the kids over to the Dali Museum for a session of Dali themed games, activities, arts, and crafts. Kids will discover a world of art and expand their horizons while exploring the museum. The Dali also giving MOSI members FREE entry during the month of October! thedali.org

Clearwater Beach Uncorked  | Nov. 3 and 4, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Head over to Clearwater Beach for a delicious afternoon full of food and adult beverages. H.O.M.E. & Harvest Bluegrass Fest | Nov. 3, 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Take a trip to Dunedin for a great festival for a great cause. The fest will feature music by Ramblegrass Band and will include raffles, food, drinks, music, and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit The House of Mercy and Encouragement, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving the mental health needs of children and their families. eventbrite.com

Straz! Live in the Park | Nov. 4, 2-6 p.m.  This annual event hosted by the Straz Center is sure to be a delight for theater goers and block party lovers alike! To kick off the new season, venture out to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for an afternoon of picnicking, converts, Broadway showtunes, and perhaps a couple of surprise guests. Food trucks will be on site, but be sure to bring your coolers, chairs and blankets to this FREE event! strazcenter.org 

Fall festivals and pumpkin patches:

HarvestMoon Farm in Masaryktown
Weekends only; through November 4th
One of best kept secrets in Masaryktown this time of year, HarvestMoon Farm’s offers five acres of none stop fun for the whole family. Venture the Farm as a Farm Scene Investigation (ISI) or travel through the corn maze finding clues at each stop while reading passages of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Hand down, one of the best features this Farm has to offer is a 70-foot jumping pillow. The grounds also offer a cow train ride, mineshaft slide, pumpkin patch, expanded petting farm and tree house. Sweetfield Farms Fall Corn Maze and Farm Activities
Nov. 3-4 various times
Come out for corn maze fun at Sweetfield Farms in Masaryktown. While on the farm, check out the Pitcher Pump Duck Race, hay ride, farm animals and free craft of the season. Stick around to meet up with special visiting vendors including Jerry Crowling’s storytelling for all ages, Heyman Kettle Corn, Ex-Squeeze-Me Lemonade, Fresh Pressed Apple Cider and more. sweetfieldsfarm.com

Sensory Friendly Saturdays at Altitude Trampoline Park in Tampa | Nov. 3 & Nov. 17, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.  Jump on over to Altitude Trampoline Park in Tampa on the first and third Saturday of every month for Sensory Friendly Saturdays. Children with sensory needs such as autism are invited to come out with their families to jump in a safe, sensory friendly environment with low music, and no crowded parties. One accompanying parent to a sensory friendly child jumps for free, all others can jump for a lowered cost of $11.95 per person. altitudetampa.com 

Sensory Sensitive Sundays at Chuck E. Cheese | Nov. 4, 9 a.m.- 11 a.m.  Stop in to your local Chuck E. Children’s Board of Hillsborough County Free Tuesday | Nov. 6, 12 p.m.- 7 p.m. 

Held on the first Tuesday of every month,  at The Glazer Children’s Museum, hosted by the Children’s Board, will promote the well-being of children and families and unite them with local community partners.
