There are so many family-friendly things to do this weekend in Tampa Bay! There are some pretty awesome fall and Halloween events to celebrate across the area including Creatures of the Night at ZooTampa and Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay!

Things to Do this Weekend in Tampa Bay, Saturday & Sunday:

7th Annual Clearwater Beach Chalk Art Festival | Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
This annual FREE event features 40 sidewalk chalf artists in action, creating works of art that will amaze kids and adults! There’s a kids’ zone, arts and crafts vendors, live music and more.

Rattlesnake Festival in San Antonio, FL | 10 a.m.
Don’t miss out on the 52nd Annual San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival at the Pasco County Fair Grounds. Admission is only $5, those two years and younger are free. Most activities inside the festival are included with admission. This year there will be reptile shows, cowboy shows, live music, wooden gopher turtle races, pony rides, petting zoo, and an arts and crafts village. Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends and Halloween Painting at Busch Gardens: Spooky Safari with Bert and Ernie! | 11 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays
Say hello to Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and many more Sesame Street friends for Halloween fun at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Enjoy trick-or-treating, music and a chance to be up close with the park’s animal ambassadors. Join in parades and dance parties throughout the afternoon at Sesame Street Safari of Fun with different themes each weekend. Plus, take part in a special Sesame Street meet and greet. Love is Calling exhibit at the Tampa Museum of Art | various times
Experience one of Yayoi Kusama’s infinity rooms, LOVE IS CALLING. The artist’s work is on loan from the Vinik Family Foundation Collection. You will need to purchase a ticket to secure your time slot since a limited number of people are allowed in at a time. Kids 6 and younger are FREE and students 7 and older are $5. Creatures of the Night at ZooTampa at Lowry Park
Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 27 until 10 p.m.

Return to ZooTampa for a Halloween event even spookier than last year. Ghouls and goblins of all ages can watch the zoo transform into an eerie and immersive Halloween adventure for the whole family. Creatures emerge at dusk with startling surprises but without the horror or gore. Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed up in their best family-friendly costumes! zootampa.org

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay | Sep. 21 – Oct 28, select nights 
For 19 select nights there is nowhere to hide at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Returning this year are some patron favorites like the Death Water Bayou house and Fiends Show. However, much of the event is brand new with two new houses and five new scare zones. howloscream.com

The Addams Family, A New Musical at the Straz Center | Oct. 18-21, time varies 
Patel Conservatory is proud to present “The Addams Family, A New Musical!” Join the iconic creepy and kooky family as an older Wednesday Addams brings home a respectable boy. In typical Addams fashion, they host a spooky dinner for the nice boy and his equally nice family! Join in this hilarious musical and enjoy new songs and characters as well as the beloved creepy family from the iconic television show. strazcenter.org 

Clearwater Jazz Holiday | Oct. 18-21, times vary

Things to Do in Tampa Bay on Saturday, October 20:

Sensory Friendly Trick or Treat at MOSI | 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
MOSI is proud to host the second Day of Discovery event, in the collaborative series of events with Zoo Tampa (Held on 10/6) and The Florida Aquarium (10/27), on this Saturday October 20th from 8:00am – 10:00am for a sensory friendly Trick or Treat. Working with C.A.R.D. at USF and
Believe It and Achieve It Therapy Services of Tampa (www.believeittherapy.com) MOSI will set up a low stress environment of lights and sounds and invite guests to trick or treat throughout the museum. The event will also offer options of  treats that are organic and dye free. While MOSI will be set up for families with sensory challenges, all families with disabilities are welcome to attend.


Aerospace Discovery Day at the Florida Air Museum | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Head over to Florida Air Museum for a day of discovery. This annual event is a must-do for families of all ages. Get off the ground and log some flight time, participate in hands on activities and scavenger hunts, win prizes and more! Kids in the Kitchen with Ms. Alayna at Armature Works | 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Join us for the Fall edition of Kids in the Kitchen with Ms. Alyna and an unforgettable hands-on experience for your child. Learn how to prepare Pumpkin Cake Pops & Apple Roses from scratch. Mix, stir, measure and pour while building your cooking skills and vocabulary. Afterwards enjoy your delicious creations! Cooking with Ms. Alyna: In each class, kids get to try their hand at making seasonal recipes while learning basic culinary techniques such as mixing and measuring. St. Peteresburg Science Festival at USF St. Pete | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The St. Petersburg Science Festival, is a community celebration of the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). The 2018 public festival will be held on October 20 from 10am-4pm, at the waterfront campus of the USF St. Petersburg and Poynter Park along Bayboro Harbor. The event is held in conjunction with MarineQuest, the annual open house of the FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.

DillyDally with Dali | Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Tampa Pig Jig at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Tampa | 1 p.m.-10 p.m.
Tampa Pig Jig presented by Valley National Bank and RIPA & Associates is an annual fundraising event hosted in downtown Tampa’s beautiful Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park featuring live music, great food, a BBQ competition, drinks and games. For tickets, visit www.tampapigjig.com.

The Magic School Bus | 2 p.m. 
Located in Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center, join Ms. Frizzle as she sets out on another adventure after her class gets lost on their way to the planetarium! The gang blasts into outer space for an inter-galactic field trip aboard Ms. Frizzle’s Magic School Bus. Pumpkin Patches and Fall Events OPEN in Tampa Bay this weekend:

Harvest Holler Corn Maze in Polk City | Opens September 21st 
Friday 4 P.M.-8 P.M., Saturday noon-8 P.M.Sunday noon-5 P.M.
Come out for a fun fall tradition and stroll the fields of this year’s corn maze at Harvest Holler Farm, a working family farm in Polk City. Check out the pumpkin patch, go on a hay ride, and meet up with live farm animals. Families also can ride the cow train, play corn hole, swing on the tire swings and the hay fort. harvestholler.com

The Pickin Patch in Dunnellon
Opening day begins September 29
Pack a lunch and enjoy a fun day trip to the Pickin’ Patch, located in Dunnellon, Florida, where you can pick your very own white pumpkin from the vine, as well as fall sunflowers and gourds. On Saturdays and Sundays, they host live bluegrass music while your family enjoys a corn maze, hay ride, kids hay fort and slides. HarvestMoon Farm in Masaryktown
Weekends only; starting September 29th – November 4th
One of best kept secrets in Masaryktown this time of year, HarvestMoon Farm’s offers five acres of none stop fun for the whole family. Venture the Farm as a Farm Scene Investigation (ISI) or travel through the corn maze finding clues at each stop while reading passages of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Hand down, one of the best features this Farm has to offer is a 70-foot jumping pillow. The grounds also offer a cow train ride, mineshaft slide, pumpkin patch, expanded petting farm and tree house. Tickets are $11.95 plus tax for age 3 and older.

If you’re also looking for a little nighttime fun, but not so much spooking, the farm also offers a nighttime walk through the maze in the dark with flashlights. Cost is $10 per person ages 3 & up; 2 & under free. Sweetfield Farms Fall Corn Maze and Farm Activities

Come out for corn maze fun at Sweetfield Farms in Masaryktown. While on the farm, check out the Pitcher Pump Duck Race, hay ride, farm animals and free craft of the season. Seal Swim School’s Pumpkin Patch & Family Fun Festival
Oct. 1-31
Pick out this year’s jack-o-lantern wannabes and stop by again later in the month for a fun event for the whole family at Seal Swim School with two locations – in Lutz and South Tampa. House Power for kids and Animal Sanctuary 11th annual Fall Festival fundraiser 
Weekends starting October 6-28
Bring the family out for a day of fun, while supporting a non-profit animal sanctuary right outside the Westchase area. The festival includes pony, train and hay rides, as well as farm animals. Fall games and bon fire, which includes marshmallows. Weekends only, starting October 6th – 28th.

15th Annual Pumpkin Palooza Fall Festival in St. Pete
October 6, 11 am-4pm
Pack up the whole family for a day of fall fun at this GWFC St. Petersburg Junior Woman’s Club event held at Northside Baptist Church in St. Pete. The event offers a pumpkin patch, kids’ games, face and hair painting, inflatables, food and treats, arts and crafts vendors, and more. Admission is free. Fox Squirrel Corn Maze in Plant City
Weekends Only October 6-28, 2018
Take part in exciting, family-friendly fall games and activities at Fox Squirrel Corn Maze in Plant City. Tackle the corn maze, check out fun duck races, challenge friends to a game of cornhole or badminton, try your hand at Dummy Steer Ropin’ and shop for a pumpkin in the patch. Free parking.
