Baby Registry Ideas and Top Picks Trending into 2020

The baby product industry is booming with more than you can imagine hitting the market this year! There’s the basics you’ll need for baby, like a car seat and safe place to sleep, but there’s also a plethora of things you don’t really need…but will want!

To get an idea of what’s trending into 2020 in the baby registry universe, we stopped by the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Associations Built for Baby Show in Orlando so we can share what’s new with you! We’ve selected some of our favorite things that fall into three trending categories for the new year.

  1. Mother care: Wellness for mom and things that make life simpler 
  2. Technology integrated into products like car seats and monitors. 
  3. On the go: Were bringing our babies with us more and more. These products help make it an easy and simpler process. 

Safety first. “Products in this industry are very highly regulated and tested really rigorously. So you can be really be confident your products are safe.” -Kelly Mariotti, JPMA executive director.

 Starting a registry? There are three things EVERY family should have:

  • A safe place for baby to sleep.
  • A car seat.
  • A stroller.

Nanit monitor: This is not only a baby monitor, it is a sleep monitoring system that helps coach you to based on babys sleep date. The cord is hidden and not accessible to little ones. The secret to monitoring babys movement is in the swaddle or waist band. No devices needed on baby!  


Sense a Life: Created by two Tampa dads, Sense a Life is a tool parents can use to remind them when baby is in the car. A small pad is placed under the car seat and can detect weight as little as two pounds. When you open your car door, you are reminded to get baby. If you forget, you are notified on your phone and a backup contact is notified if you dont 



Cybex car seats with SensorSafe: We loved what Cybex has incorporated tech into car seats. The base makes it super easy to access your child by twisting the seat toward you, but the tech part is the SensorSafe which will alert you if you leave baby in the car, if it gets too hot/cold, or if baby has been buckled in for more than 2 hours and needs a

The BOB jogging stroller is getting a makeover and its all goodwe promise! The Alterrain Pro will be out by the end of this year.
