For those trying to stay healthy, and to keep their families healthy, dessert is a hard topic to negotiate. Fruit and almond butter are a sweet, great combination that will satisfy even the most aching sweet tooth and keep off the pounds too.
Recipe:
1 Banana Sliced
¼ cup crunchy almond butter
Directions:
On a piece of foil lay out half the banana slices. Then top each slice of banana with a dollop of crunchy almond butter. Peanut butter also works in this recipe, but almond butter tends to have a richer flavor and the crunchy variety provides an added texture. Next, place a second slice of banana on each of the other halves. Place in the freezer for a cold treat, or enjoy warm.
