Berry Almond Yogurt

Tampa Bay Parenting 2014 Berry Almond Yogurt

Store bought flavored yogurt might seem like a low-calorie treat, but most are packed with sugar and fake fruit. Instead, reach for the Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is high in protein and contains roughly half the sugar of its regular counterpart. Throwing in some fresh ingredients can make it equally flavorful.

Recipe:

1 cup Greek yogurt

¼ cup blueberries, raspberries or sliced strawberries

¼ cup sliced almonds

optional: honey to taste

 Directions:

In a bowl combine yogurt, berries and almonds. For some added sweetness add in some honey. Greek yogurt and honey are a traditional pair and a truly yummy combination.
