If you’ve been to Hyppo, you know the flavors are fresh and bold. So, when Cascadian Farm approached them to create an ice pop with its new organic cereals for the feel good mission to give back to Feeding Tampa Bay, it was special in more ways than one.
“The pop is unique since we’ve never used cereals in pops before. What we sought to do was to boost the natural flavors found in the cereal, which wasn’t difficult! I personally ate a whole box of the cereal while thinking through the pop build. It’s such a joy to partner with such a well-known company to do good,” DiMare told us.

CASCADIAN FARM TAKES ITS FEEL GOOD FOOD MISSION ON THE ROAD
The Cascadian Farm Good Food Vibes Here truck is continuing its nationwide tour here in Tampa Bay after a stop in Boston to allow families like yours to connect with their brand in a way that you’ve probably never done before.
The Cascadian Farm team will be handing out samples of its products at events like the Hyppo launch party and locations throughout the Tampa Bay community through November 2.
But, they didn’t want to just hand out free samples. They wanted to leave a lasting impact in our community which is why the partnership with Hyppo and Feeding Tampa Bay made sense.
“If there is one city that shares our passion for food and their community, it’s Tampa,” Borges told us. “We saw a great opportunity to have a positive impact locally through both community-driven events that are all about loving and enjoying what the city has to offer, and partnering with a like-minded organization like The Hyppo and Feeding Tampa Bay that are putting good vibes out into Tampa’s communities.”
It’s those good food vibes that Hyppo CEO Stephen DiMare tells us made the collaboration with Cascadian Farm and Feeding Tampa Bay a natural fit.
“Many of our customers are concerned with where their food comes from and how to eat cleaner without sacrificing the core yumminess of the food, so we were well-aligned on that front with Cascadian Farm from the beginning. Add in the community component and we were all-in,” he said.

THE CASCADIAN FARM STORY
If you look in your pantry, it’s likely you already have a Cascadian Farm product on the shelf. The brand has more than 75 organic products on the market today from cereal to granola bars to frozen fruits and vegetables.
But, as you grab that box of cereal, you probably don’t think about the story that built the brand or the significance of the organic certification label on the box. We’ve been buying the cereals, granolas, bars and frozen fruit for years and never thought twice about it.
Here’s what’s really cool. Kahn, not only played a role in establishing that USDA organic label label we so often search for when buying food for our families, he was also a driving force in making organic food convenient and delicious.
The story takes us back to 50 years ago when Kahn decided to drop out of grad school in Chicago and moved to the foothills of the North Cascades mountains about two hours outside of Seattle, Washington.
It was here in Rockport that he established, Cascadian Farm. Long before it was trendy, he was growing organic food and farming it in away that was responsible.
To this day, the company’s responsible farming habits include working to restore and preserve native pollinator habitats (YAY, bees!) and focus on soil health. Two critical needs in crop production.
When news of bee Colony Collapse Disorder hit, Cascadian Farm stepped in and created the Bee Friendlier mission to help create pollinator habitats through flower bombing (it’s exactly as it sounds—they drop balls of native wildflower seeds on vast areas of land) and the promotion of organic farming.
Just as bees are a critical part of our food supply, so is the health of the soil. Cascadian Farm is currently growing and testing Kernza, a perennial organic grain that has really deep roots, like 10 feet deep, and has shown the ability to not only naturally nourish the soil and retain water, but absorb a lot of carbon.
