Are you a Disney fanatic? Do you want to share your knowledge with other families around the world? Then you may want to consider applying to become a part of the coveted Disney Parks Moms Panel! The 12th annual search for the next cast of experts opens September 5-12, 2018.
The online forum of Disney knowledge, tips and advice may be called the Moms Panel, but dads and even Disney buffs without kids are encouraged to apply! We met Leslie Krzan during a segment with Great Day Live on WTSP and had to ask…how did she do it? The Tampa Bay area mom of two to shares her story and even some of her favorite things about the Walt Disney World experience!
Q) Tell us about yourself and how you discovered the Panel?
Hi! I’m Leslie Krzan and I’m married with two kids, ages 7 and 10. I grew up with Disney in my heart and haven’t slowed down since. We are Disney Vacation Club members, Platinum Castaway Club members with Disney Cruise Line, a former Disney bride and I have visited every Disney park around the world.
I found out about the Panel in 2009 through an advertisement I saw, most likely on the Walt Disney World website. I applied in 2009, but didn’t make it past the first round. I applied again during the Search in 2010 and was selected to be a part of the 2011 Panel.
Q) Any secrets on getting selected? Do you have to be a blogger to get selected?
I don’t know any secrets, but I do have some tips! The biggest tip of all is to be yourself. Answer the application questions honestly and from your heart and not what you think Disney is looking for. Another tip is to triple check your answers for proper spelling and nomenclature. Make sure you’re using the proper name for attractions, parks, Resort hotels, etc.
You do not have to be a blogger to be part of the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are a group made up of moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, lawyers, scientists, engineers and everything in between!
Q) What are your top 3 favorite things to do with your kids at Walt Disney World?
We are a water park family, so one of our favorite things to do is take a day trip and visit one of the water parks, especially in the summer.
I love to let my kids plan what we do as well, so when we visit a park, they tell us where to go and what attraction we will be experiencing.
My third favorite thing to do with my kids at Walt Disney World is to spend time as a family. It’s the perfect destination to unplug from reality and to really bond with each other. The smiles, giggles and memories we make are priceless.
Q) What are you most excited for in the future at Disney?
There are so many things coming to Walt Disney World Resort! I am most excited for the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. My son is a big fan, so I am really looking forward to seeing his reaction to this immersive land.
