Walt Disney World has done it again! The magic continues this weekend as Epcot prepares to debut its first ever International Festival of the Arts on weekends beginning January 13-February 20! It’s a journey through the World Showcase to delight your all of your five senses through art, food and music.
This is an event that totally makes sense since Disney’s Imagineers have spent decades creating and innovating unforgettable characters and magical places. You and the kids will be able to immerse yourself in the works of Disney icons of the past and present and even take part in the creative process through workshops in animation drawing, cake decorating, photography, calligraphy and more!
We’re also getting a look at some of the culinary creations being offered during this special event and we can’t wait to taste! These Pop’t  Art sugar cookies are almost too pretty to eat!
Epcot’s festivals always attract amazing music and the International Festival of the Arts will be no different. The American Gardens Theatre will be transformed into a Broadway stage with of the Disney on Broadway Concert Series featuring performances of songs from your favorite Disney Broadway hits like Aladdin, Newsies, The Lion King and more.
We also can’t wait to watch as chalk artists transform the theme park’s sidewalks into famous works of art. Keep your camera handy because you’ll also want to get a picture of the kids with the Epcot Living Statues!
Since we’re on the subject of taking pictures, be sure to stop by one of the special PhotoPass areas and let Disney’s PhotoPass photographers snap a picture of you in world famous pieces of art. PhotoPass locations: American Adventure, Future World Fountain Stage Plaza, Italy, and United Kingdom.
The festival is included with Epcot admission ticket. To learn more about the event and to plan your trip, click here.
