Get Messy at Glazer Children’s Museum!

Paint, playdough, bubbles and more! Let’s get ready to make messes galore!  Glazer Children’s Museum is hosting its first ever Mess Fest during winter break, Monday, December 29 through Friday, December 30 and we think the idea is simply divine!

Mess Fest is included with museum admission. Admission for children ages 1-12 is $9.50. Adult admission is $15.00. Military, Teachers and Senior admission is $12.50. Consider buying a Family Membership for up to 5 people–memberships start at $125 per year.

If you haven’t been to Glazer Children’s Museum in awhile, this is the perfect time to revisit this gem in downtown Tampa. It’s also the perfect time to make your very first visit as a family! There are 18 exhibits that not only entertain, but educate! One of our favorites is the Kid’s Port exhibit on the first floor which is basically an oversized water table. Our kids also love Water’s Journey, a 35-foot tall structure kids can climb through mimicking how water moves from the clouds to the aquifer. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic on the lawn at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park before heading home. Your kids will want to come back again and again!

Mess Fest Schedule from

Monday, December 26
Marble Painting | 10am-4pm
Let’s get messy and creative! Children will enjoy making unique works or art using marbles and paint.

Tuesday, December 27
Playdough Play | 10:30am
Children will get creative making unique playdough structures in this fun and messy program!

Big Bubbles | 2pm
Bubbles are always fun and a little messy too! Come join as we make giant bubbles that children can actually stand in!

Pendulum Painting | 10:30am
A pendulum is a weight suspended from a pivot so that it can swing freely. When a pendulum is displaced sideways from its resting, equilibrium position, it is subject to a restoring force due to gravity that will accelerate it back toward the equilibrium position. Using this science, children will create unique woks of art in this program for all ages!

Friday, December 30
Blubber Fun | 12pm
This hands on, non-toxic program is ooey, gooey fun for your little one! Teaching children how winter mammals stay warm through the cold Winter.

Penguin Art Project | 3pm
Explore Winter animals in this fun craft program for all ages!
