The 2023 list of our favorite pumpkin patches in Tampa Bay, fall festivals, corn mazes, Halloween events, and more is ghoulishly good.

So, get your calendar out and start scheduling some fall family FUN. Keep in mind that the owners of the pumpkin patches work really hard to organize these amazing events for you, so make sure you are keeping a close eye on your kids when visiting. We all know how excited little ones can get and we want everyone to stay safe.

We are continuing to update and tweak this list as 2023 dates are announced but check out some that have piqued our interest so far! Happy haunting…we mean, hunting!

2023 Pumpkin Patches in Tampa Bay, Including Awesome Fall Festivals and Corn Mazes

(Listed in order of opening date. Dates, times, and ticket prices are subject to change. Check with your chosen farm’s social media sites before you go because some do sell out of tickets on certain days.)

Harvest Holler Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Polk City

  • Opening September 15, 2023 | Fri-Sun

It’s an easy ride from Tampa – just about a half hour east on I-4 – and suddenly you’re at Farmer Jerry and his family’s Harvest Holler Farm.  Come out for a fun fall tradition and stroll the fields of this year’s corn maze and pumpkin patch at Harvest Holler Farm, a working family farm! You can explore the pumpkin patch, go on a hayride, enjoy some country eats, meet live farm animals, and more! There’s also a cow train, corn hole, and many more activities.

 

Gallagher’s Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Trees

  • Open daily from 9am -9 pm
  • 7401 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702

Located in St. Pete for more than 30 years, this family-owned business is the perfect spot to capture super cute photos of your little pumpkins while you select the best of the ‘patch’! You can also pick up a yummy homemade pie and even feed goats in the goat pen. Before you leave, be sure you snap a photo in front of the popular vintage pickup truck.

 

Raprager Family Farm Fall Pumpkin Festival

  • Opens September 22, 2023, Friday-Sunday through Oct 29, and then weekends in Nov. through Nov 19.

  • Cost: $16.95 when purchased in advance for ages 3 and up, children 2 and under are free. Parking is free.

Raprager Family Farm’s Fall Festival is BACK for 2023 with even more fall fun on the farm! Attractions this year include axe throwing, pumpkin painting, a 900ft inflatable maze, a baby cow, and more.  The haunted barn is back along with the hay rides, petting zoo, hay chute slide, and other favorites. The farm is kid-friendly all day but does get scarier after 6:00 pm.

Sweetfields Farm Fall Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze and Farm Activities

  • September 23 through October 30 on Fridays-Mondays and Nov 4 & 5.

  • Cost: $11.95 + tax ages 3 and up, 2 and under are free 

Come out for corn maze fun at Sweetfields Farm in Masaryktown, but stay for the Pitcher Pump Duck Race, hayride, pumpkin patch, farm animals, and free craft of the season. Buy your tickets ahead of time to secure your spot because some days can sell out. They have a large maze inspired by a scarecrow along with a Mini Maze and Hay Bale Maze.!

 

21st Annual Brooksville Pumpkin Patch

  • Weekends from September 29-October 29, 2023
  • 475 North Avenue West, Brooksville, FL 34601

The Brooksville farm has hundreds, if not thousands of pumpkins–to choose from! The farm says most of their pumpkin deliveries are a few days off the vine, so they should last you through the holiday…and maybe even grab some cute ones for decor for Thanksgiving. They also have food vendors, produce, a petting zoo, bounce house, games, and more.

 

DK Festival Farm Pumpkin Patch

  • September 30-October 29, 2023. Open daily.

Explore and pick up a pumpkin at their patch, take a hayride, and enjoy the great fall decorations or hang with some new friends at the petting zoo. There’s a ton more to do and lots of fun for the whole family.

 

Frazier Farms Pumpkin Patch in Brooksville

  • September 30-October 22, 2023 on Saturdays and Sundays

There will be lots of kids’ games, big kids’ games, corn hole, pumpkin painting, hay rides, “Moo” train barrel ride, a wide variety of craft & food vendors, shaved ice, ice cream, corn shucking contests, and a pumpkin patch!

 

HarvestMoon Farm Pumpkin Patch

  • September 30-November 5, 2023 Sat-Sun: 10 am-5 pm and select weekdays
  • 15990 Stur St., Masaryktown, FL 34604
  • Cost: $15.95 + tax ages 3 and up

You’ll want to pre-purchase a ticket online to secure your spot to navigate the 5-acre corn maze, and explore the many attractions like a cow train, pedal cars, jumping pillow, and barnyard games. There’s also a petting farm and tree house. Bring some extra cash in case the little ones decide they want to participate in gem mining or even pick out their own pumpkins in the pumpkin patch! They even host a Haunted Nights event on select nights (separate admission required).

DK Festival Farm Pumpkin Patch

Kerby’s Nursery Pumpkin Patch in Seffner

  • Opens daily September 30-October 31, 2023

Kerby’s Nursery has a variety of beautiful pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, mums, and more! And don’t forget to snap a photo in front of the pumpkin wall! At their fall kickoff event on September 30, attend a fall decorating seminar, participate in gift card giveaways, enjoy food from local food trucks, and make a pumpkin succulent arrangement. 

 

Bearss Groves Pumpkin Patch -Florida’s Largest Pumpkin!

  • On display now. Open Wed-Sun from 9 am-7 pm
  • Location: 14316 Lake Magdalene Blvd, Tampa

Bearss Groves has done it again! They have brought in Florida’s largest pumpkin weighing in at 1,500 pounds! Come on by to snap some photos with this giant gourd and pick up some smaller pumpkins to take home!

 

Dave’s Christmas Tree Lot Pumpkin Patch

  • October 1-31, 2023 Mon-Fri: 1 pm-8 pm, Sat-Sun: 9 am-9 pm

It’s not officially fall until you’ve visited our pumpkin patch in October! Bring your friends and family out to wander through our rows of pie pumpkins, mini pumpkins, white pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, highly stacked hay bales, garden mums, and much more. Bring the whole family and take as many photos as you like!

 

Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch

  • October 4 – October 26, 2023. Open Mon-Thurs from 3 pm-6 pm and Fri-Sun from 10 am-6 pm.

Come pick out the perfect pumpkin at Hyde Park Village. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The pumpkin patch will be located by the fountain near Pottery Barn.

 

Watermelon Swim’s Annual Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch 

  • Pumpkin Patch Dates: October 6-31, 2023
  • Fall Festival: October 21, 2023 from 4 pm-7 pm

Get ready for pumpkin season in Tampa Bay! Watermelon Swim’s annual Pumpkin Patch opens on October 6, offering a variety of perfect pumpkins at four locations. Lutz and South Tampa have large outdoor patches, while Wesley Chapel and Riverview offer cozy indoor setups. Each location boasts charming fall photo spots for your family to capture the spirit. Admission is free, and they are open from 8 am to 8 pm throughout October. Join them on October 21 for their FREE Fall Festival at Lutz and South Tampa, featuring trunk-or-treating, games, food trucks, and more. Shimmering Lights Fall Festival 

  • Select nights October 5-29, 2023, 7 pm-10 pm

This is a unique way to celebrate the fall season on the farm! Sun Kisses Acres is teaming up with Nights of Shimmering Lights to create a 1/4 mile walk-through trail featuring beautiful lights, music, games, hay rides, pumpkin patches, foam play area on select nights, and more! The light trail is not-so-scary and suitable for kids of all ages!  *The walking trail is not suitable or accessible for wheelchairs or strollers.

 

St. Pete Pier Fall Pumpkin Patch

  • October 7-15, 2023 
  • Location: St Pete Pier

Pick out your perfect pumpkin at the Family Park at the St. Pete Pier and pose for adorable photos. While you’re there, stay and play at the nearby playground and even tour the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center.

 

Horsepower for Kids and Animal Sanctuary 16th Annual Fall Festival Fundraiser 

  • Saturdays & Sundays October 7-October 39, 2023 11 am-5 pm

  • Cost: $15 admission, $1 parking

Bring the family out for a day of fun, while supporting a non-profit animal sanctuary right outside the Westchase area. The festival includes pony, train, and hayrides, as well as farm animals and exotic animals such as goats, sloths, lemurs, and deer. Kids can also bounce around in the bounce house, play in the corn pit, enjoy fall-themed crafts, and play fall-themed games. Proceeds go to the animal rescue and sanctuary.

Springtime Agventure Farm Fall Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Walk

32nd Annual Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Patch Festival

  • October 14-29, 2023on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am-5 pm

  • Cost: $15 for ages 11 and up, children under 10 are free. $5 for parking (cash only)

Make the drive south of Tampa Bay to experience the 32nd annual Pumpkin Patch Festival on select weekends in October. There will be hayrides, a petting zoo, games, pumpkin patch, and more! The main attraction is the corn maze which is an additional $2 per person. Make sure to bring cash for other cool activities like a children’s train ride, Butterfly Experience, zip line, and more!

 

Annual Heights Fall Festival Pumpkin Patch at Armature Works

  • Saturday and Sunday, Oct 14 & 15 and Oct 21 & 22, 2023

The Heights Fall Festival will take place across two weekends in October and will feature a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, face painters, activities for the whole family, and live music. There will also be a food drive benefiting Metropolitan Ministries.

Tampa Bay History Center’s A Night at the Museum

Scream-A-Geddon is returning to Dade City to terrify guests once again with haunted house attractions and creepy crawlies wandering the grounds to give you your first frights of the season. There are a total of SIX attractions to terrify you including NEW ones. *Please don’t bring little kiddos to this—it’s quite intense and there’s no pumpkin patch here.

 

Spooky Train Rides and Scary Trail at the Concourse in Shady Hills

Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail in Plant City

For an extra spooky night filled with terrifying thrills, head to Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail in Plant City! There are three haunted trails, laser tag, and even an escape room. The haunted trails are not appropriate for kids under age 12, so leave the little ones at home.

 

Haunted River Tours with Pirate Water Taxi

  • October 6-29, 2023, select days between 6:15 pm-9:45 pm
  • Convention Center/ Marriott Water Street (Stop 7 location)
  • Cost: $35 for adults, $20 for children ages 2-12 (includes all-day hop on/hop off)

Join Pirate Water Taxi’s crew for an entertaining evening with tales of ghosts along the Hillsborough River. Each tour will be led by two dead-lightful docents who will tell eerie stories of Tampa’s past. Admission is included with a regular daily hop-on, hop-off pass. Haunted River Tours are family-friendly, and all ages are welcome! Tours last 45-50 minutes.

 

 

Fall Harvest Days at Keel Farms in Plant City

Keel Farms is hosting its annual Fall Harvest Days with fun activities for kids, pumpkin painting, farm animals, camel rides, corn maze, and bounce house. There will be over 30 craft vendors and special releases of fall wines, beers, and ciders. Parking is also free!

 

Scarecrow Festival at the Pioneer Florida Museum

  • October 14, 2023, 9 am-4 pm

  • Cost: $5 for students ages 5 and up, $10 for adult

Take part in fall games and activities as a family at Pioneer Florida Museum and Village in Dade City. Paint a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, make a scarecrow, visit the petting zoo, take a pony ride, pose for a photo with a scarecrow, touch a truck, get your face painted, go on carnival rides and more!  No pets, coolers, food, or beverages allowed.

 

USF Botanical Gardens Fall Plant Festival

  • October 14-15, 2023 from 10 am-3 pm

Fall is a great time to get high-quality, mature plants for your gardens and landscape! Vendors from throughout the state will be on-site selling plants and plant-related items.  There will also be a free children’s craft area. Click here to learn more.

 

Haunted Woods at Hillsborough River State Park

  • October 21, 2023 from 6 pm-10 pm
  • Cost: $10 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 6-12
  • Hillsborough River State Park

The Hillsborough River State Park Preservation Society is hosting a haunted trail at the park along with a costume contest, live music, and an all-new Enchanted Woods for kids for some not-so-spooky fun.

 

Pint-Sized Halloween Party at Southwest Complex in Largo 

  • October 21, 2023, 4 pm

This is a Willy Wonka-themed party created just for kiddos ages 7 and younger. Kids can make a craft, participate in a costume parade, enjoy fall-themed treats, and play games.

 

Pied Piper’s Annual Haunted Carnival at Armature Works in Tampa

  • October 26-29, 2023 at various times

Head down to Armature Works to experience 300,000 square feet of terrifying fun! The daytime hours are best for kids where there is a kids zone, plenty of nostalgic candy, photo opportunities, and more fun rides.

 

Haunted Wharf at Sparkman Wharf in Tampa

  • Dates: October 27 and 28, 2023 from 5:30 pm-10 pm

  • Cost: FREE

A haunted pirate shipwreck is heading to Sparkman Wharf with an evening of plenty of photos, live music, silly spooks for the kids, festive food and drinks, and MORE! This is a free community event. Some of the cool photo opportunities include a pirate jail, a siren’s sea swing, and the TAMPA sign will be decked out for the holidays too! 

 

Trick-or-Treat Trail at Largo Central Park

Bring your kiddos dressed in their Halloween costumes for a night of trick-or-treating around Largo City Hall. Bags and candy will be provided. This is an outdoor event. 

 

Fright Nights at Folly Farm in Safety Harbor

  • October 27 & 28, 2023 from 6 pm-10 pm

  • Cost: $7 for haunted trail

The city of Safety Harbor has scheduled two nights of frightful fun at Folly Farm Nature Preserve. There will be a haunted trail you can explore, fall-themed activities, a campfire, children’s activities, and more!

 

Owl-O-Ween at McGough Nature Park

Pumpkin Carving Workshop at Largo Community Center

Come on out to the Largo Community Center to carve a pumpkin with all the tools you’ll need on hand along with some expert tips on how to carve a pumpkin.

 

7th Annual Trick or Treat on the Riverwalk in Tampa and Lighted Boat Parade

Trick or treating on the Riverwalk is back where kids and their families can visit 50 different treat stations while enjoying other fun activities.

 

4th Annual Spooky Stroll with TRIBE Seminole Heights

  • Seminole Heights Garden Center, Tampa
  • Cost: $1 per person 

This beloved annual event will sell out fast, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance to secure your spot. TRIBE Seminole Heights’ Spooky Stroll features tons of family-friendly fun including costumed characters, trick-or-treat stations, a pumpkin patch, a creepy house tour, fun games, and MORE! In the past, it has taken about 60-90 minutes to complete the stroll.

 

Halloween on Central in St Pete 2023

22 blocks are closed to cars and motor vehicles from noon-5pm for this this family event will be filled with a parade of costumes, street performers, entertainment, and tons of Halloween fun!
