The Mother of All Baby Showers: Returning November 10th!!

The Mother of All Baby Showers returns on November 10 at 6pm at Glazer Children’s Museum

Time is a funny thing, especially when you have young kids. The days are slow, but the years go by fast. In 2010 I had my first child, and she was the light of my life. As a woman who had worked in corporate America for 10 years, I assumed I would have my baby, hire a nanny and head back to my cushy NYC job. Guess what? Not so much. I had my baby and I was attached, I was exhausted and I loathed the idea of working in an office. My husband and I chatted and we decided we would cut back on our spending, leave NYC and move to Florida and I would stay home with the baby for the first year or so. I started attending mommy and me classes and meeting moms and I felt fulfilled socially, but within six months I found myself yearning for more. I’m not going to lie, I was worried about our finances in the long run, and I was also worried about my sanity. I had dreamt of being an entrepreneur and I was eager to find a way to balance being a mom and having my own business.

It didn’t take long before I developed my business plan. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention. I felt Tampa needed a way to connect family-friendly businesses with expectant and new parents. Small fry society was born in 2011 and this unique mommy and me social and educational program grew and grew. And then one day I had an epiphany. I decided I would take my corporate events marketing background and use it to create a huge event for all things pregnancy and parenting, a la The Mother of All Baby Showers (MOABS). Now here we are six years later, I have two more children, and I’m so thrilled to still be producing this event in Tampa Bay. We’ve also expanded into 6 other markets around the US, with plans to add five more cities in 2018.

What makes MOABS different is that it’s an adults-only night out and it’s a one stop shop, so to speak. We have something for everyone, whether you’re planning to get pregnant, currently pregnant or you have a newborn through preschool-aged children. From products to services to experts, we cover the most important topics related to pregnancy and parenting, including health, safety, gear, nursery design and more. Connecting brands to people and people to people is at the heart of this event—and making it easier for attendees to find what they want and need. For one night only, parents and parents-to-be can take a night out for themselves and enjoy tasty treats from Sprinkles, Fitlife Foods, La Croix, Kraftologee and Rent A Wife Catering, to name a few; amazing education from local and national brands like Pediatric Health Care Alliance, Women’s Care of Florida, College Nannies + Tutors, Diono, Chicco, Evercord, Baby K’tan, Enfamil, Pottery Barn Kids and many more in our “Try It Before You Buy It” area; hands-on, fun seminars; AND $20K in giveaways.Mother of all Baby Showers for Tampa Families at Glazer Children's Museum

Parenting these days is especially challenging because new products often pop up. It can be overwhelming! Also, new rules/recommendations go into effect year to year (think: not turning the car seat around until your child is 2 or more). We do our best to stay up to date and provide experts that we know and trust to speak on the topics in person and online. MOABS is inclusive and easily accessible. We provide so many options to explore, and the experience is truly confidence-building.

Marisa-Langford-TampaMamaI am very excited about this year’s event because our featured speaker is Marisa Langford, Partnership & Community Events Manager at GoGO squeez, Founder of and Mother of Four. We’d love Tampa Bay Parenting readers to attend because you deserve a night out that is all about learning and laughing. The event offers so much to do and see and it’s incredibly affordable. Tickets range from $15/ticket for a general attendee or $60 for a VIP ticket. VIP comes with an amazing Baby K’tan carrier, $25 gift card to Fitlife Foods, $20 gift card to Kraftologee, 3 month membership to Glazer Children’s Museum, 50% off a Shipt membership, swag bag and earlier admission to the event.

Use code TBPM for a FREE general ticket (while supplies last) or $15 off the VIP ticket, through November 5. Register here:
