SeaWorld Orlando kicked off the summer season this weekend with an energetic all-new nighttime show: Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night which will run through August 10, 2014 at Shamu Stadium. A friendly DJ host spins dance music from the 1950s to today and welcomes guests as they enter Shamu Stadium. The festive party atmosphere features colorful lights reflecting off the shimmery blue waters and onscreen animations show dance moves throughout the decades. Hop up and dance! You might be featured on the big screens above Shamu Stadium! Then, the animal ambassadors join the party. Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night has all-new, original music and amazing killer whale behaviors. We sat in the splash zone and enjoyed a good soak but there are plenty of great seats outside of this area. The grand finale features fireworks over Shamu Stadium as the whales wave goodbye to the audience. This spectacular new show continues the “Sea of Surprises” for SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration.
If you still feel like dancing after the Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night, head to the front of the park for Shamu’s Dance Party. Beginning one hour before the park closes, kids of all ages can dance along with Shamu and friends under a sea of bubbles and colorful lights.
