(Photo is from pre-COVID times, of course.)

Florida’s 2021 Spring Training Baseball season takes its first pitch in February!

Did you know the Florida Grapefruit League has called our beautiful Sunshine State home for 130+ years? We can’t blame them! We love our Florida sunshine, too!

Florida’s 2021 Spring Training Baseball season may look a bit different with COVID precautions at some stadiums resulting in pod-type seating and reduced capacity in the stands, but the games are open to fans! Throughout the months of February and March, 15 MLB teams taking the the field across our state as they warm up for the new season and entertain local crowds.

You can view what each team is doing when it comes to COVID precautions here.

Several teams call Tampa Bay home during the season, including a hometown favorite…the New York Yankees at Steinbrenner Field on Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa!

This is a great way to introduce your child to a favorite team or spend the afternoon together as a family!

Here are some teams you can catch pitching in our area: (click here for game schedule)

Tampa: New York Yankees

Dunedin: Toronto Blue Jays

Clearwater: Philadelphia Phillies
