Summer Camp Guide Tampa Bay

The 2014 Summer Camp Guide has the bay area’s best summer camps and programs to choose from.  It can be daunting to investigate them all. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you find the programs that best suit your child’s personality, needs and interests.  We also produce a Summer Camp Fair called Summer Splash  where you can meet with over 75 different camps face to face on April 6th at the Straz Center in downtown Tampa.

Ages 8-15 can explore the great outdoors with 100-plus big cats of every size, color and purrsonality. While participating in educational activities on the 55-acre campus, campers will meet lions, tigers, leopards and other felines and learn about animal habitats, diets, adaptations and conservation. Camps include resident camps that marry the best of the park’s offerings into multiday, sleep-away programs for students in grades four through college. Explore the Shore

Children ages 3–9 years will explore sea birds, seashells, fish and water transportation during this four-week camp. Each week includes beach play and exploration, arts and crafts and cooking. St. Petersburg Music Factory Summer Rock Band Camp

St. Pete Music Factory Rock Band Camps will be two music filled weeks. Plenty of time for campers to have fun, make new friends, and of course make music! The camps will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. and run Monday through Friday for TWO consecutive weeks.  We will also be offering parents the option of early drop off at 8:00 a.m. and a later pick up at 3:30 p.m. for an additional fee.

Each camp camp will have a maximum of TEN students, so that each camper can receive individual attention.  Student bands will will be formed according to skill level, with Instructors Mike Martin and Marty Fouts at their side.  If you don’t own an Instrument, no problem. The Factory has plenty of instruments that will be available to use. On Friday afternoon, campers take to the St. Pete Music Factory stage for a Grand Finale Concert for parents, family and friends!  Pizza and soft drinks will be provided.

The camp cost is $200.00 per week. The early drop off and late pick up fee is $35.00 per week. Campers will be responsible for bringing their own lunch. Bottled water will be provided.

Have a cool time on the ice through camps for beginner and intermediate level skaters ages 6-12. Painting with a Twist

Participants ages 7-14 will learn about various visual artists and cultures and paint their own daily masterpiece inspired by the artist/culture of the day. Program developed by certified elementary art instructor. Paint, brushes, canvas and lunch provided. Local artist will give step-by-step instruction. Cost is $40 per day per child or $175 per week per child.
