This summer, the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall will offer a variety of classes, workshops and private lessons to students of all ages, providing them with the opportunity to explore their talents, discover new friends and learn from professional arts instructors. One-week performing arts camps are available for many ages and experience levels in musical theater, drama, music, dance and on-camera acting. A variety of week-long camps are offered, including Wizards & Wands, Summer Safari, Lightsaber Combat, Toon Tales, Fairytale Frenzy and Sci-Fi Week. A multi-week production camp of the musical theater class Broadway Bound! is also available. Students who enroll in three or more one-week camps will receive 15% off of each camp.
This year, the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts annual summer musical production will be Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Students ages 14 to 18 may enroll in the performance camp that runs from June 1 to 26. Experience is not necessary. Auditions will take place on Wednesday, May 13, Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15. Performances of Oklahoma! will be directed by Jack Holloway, Drama Department Chair with musical direction by Yohance Wicks, Music Department Chair. Performances will be held at The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre on Thursday, June 25 at 7pm, Friday, June 26 at 7pm and Saturday, June 27 at 2pm and 7pm.

Individual instruction is available for any student wishing to strengthen his or her performance skills in the areas of voice, piano, drama, dance, guitar, percussion and violin. Other areas of study can be arranged upon request.
