 Green juices are the latest healthy trend, but one well worth considering. Juice is a great way to make sure your family gets their daily dose of vitamins, fiber and antioxidants. Not to mention a fun way to make su
re your kids get their daily dose of vegetables. This recipe will not only get your family all the nutrients they need, but also prove deliciously refreshing on a hot day.
Recipe: (Yields 4 servings)
2 Green Apples chopped into small cubes
3 cups chopped green chard
2 cups chopped Mango
2 limes peeled
2 cups orange juice
4 pinches Cia Seeds
Directions:
Toss all the ingredients into a blender. Tip: put greens in first to ensure they are blended well and you do not end up with chunks. For a smoothie like finish, toss in some ice. To reduce calories and cut down on sugar replace one cup of orange juice with one cup of water.Â
