If you are dying to break out the Christmas decorations, now that Halloween is over; do it! It’s officially Christmas time at the Tampa Theatre! This year, guests can enjoy two outdoor film screenings of two beloved holiday films with an outdoor big screen experience. Last years remodel of the Tampa Theatre forced screenings to take place outside, resulting in a massive success.
Enjoy the holiday season and welcome in December with holiday cheer perfect for the community! Be sure to bring the whole family out and enjoy 40-foot screens and high-intensity projectors on the Great Lawn. Make it a date night, or bring the kids and laugh along to two favorite classics perfect for ringing in holiday cheer.
This year, screenings of Home Alone (1990) and The Santa Claus (1994) will be played. Home Alone (1990) will play Friday, November 16 and will be apart of the festivities for the opening night of Curtis Hixon’s Winter Village presented. The Santa Claus (1994) will take place after Tampa’s Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 30 for a night of continued fun and yuletide cheer.
The event is possible due to the generosity of F. E. Lykes Foundation. President and CEO of Tampa Theatre, John Bell, is thrilled to have another great turnout at the park this holiday season! Both screenings are FREE and open to the public with first come first serve lawn seating. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and folding lawn chairs so that all who attend are comfy and cozy!
