From Broadway to Opera, the Straz Center has dazzled Tampa audiences for years with their magical shows and performances. Next to grace the stage with his musical talents, Joshua Bell will mystify every man, woman, and child with his incredible talents on the violin.
For over 30 years, Bell has successfully performed as a soloist, conductor, recording artist, and chamber musician. He is the only person to be named Music Director of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields since the formation of the orchestra in 1958 by Sir Neville Marriner. He has been featured on the Grammy Awards and performed at the Lincoln Center in New York City. Bell was also a member of President Obama’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities, providing education about the arts to low-performing elementary and middle schools.
This year, Bell will be performing with the prestigious New York Philharmonic and traveling the world playing music from the likes of Beethoven, Brahms, and Kernis. Tickets can be purchased on the Straz Center website for the January 29th Tampa performance. You don’t want to miss it!
