Ways to Donate or Volunteer

Looking for a way to to give back to the community? Here’s a list of places you can donate or volunteer to this holiday season.

Metropolitan Ministries has several ways you can help out the community this year including serving food to the less fortunate at Morgan’s Park. To find additional information on times check online.

Another great way to give back to the community is to donate items. Unfortunately last week several thieves stole donations inside a trailer from Keystone Community Church in Lutz. ABC Action news reported that the donations inside the trailer were estimated at $4,500. The gifts and perishable items were supposed to go to the Holiday Tent in Pasco County and Tampa.

The church is continuing their collection through tomorrow. To find a location near you along with dropoff times click on the link below:

The Tampa YMCA is also accepting volunteers for mentors to help students first through third grade who are struggling to read. All volunteers must apply in advance. YMCA is also accepting gifts! However, YMCA also understands that the holidays do tend to be a hectic time for many. So if you are unable to personally hand deliver a gift donation there’s a option to donate online.
